In the home
When doing laundry, it is essential that the washing powder dissolves in water easily and does not discolour your clothes. Many detergent manufacturers use our Flexomix technology to achieve this. Additionally, 70% of babies worldwide sleep drier and more comfortably thanks to disposable nappies containing super-absorbent polymers, also produced with a Hosokawa Flexomix agglomeration system.
Food & Drink
As the global population approaches nine billion, the demand for protein will increase by over 50%. It is essential to explore alternative protein sources. However, plant-based proteins are often temperature-sensitive and challenging to process properly. Hosokawa Micron provides mixing and drying systems that handle these challenges efficiently and sustainably.
Whether you enjoy cookies, chocolate or potato crisps, chances are their ingredients have been mixed using Hosokawa machinery. If you drink powder-based instant beverages like coffee or chocolate, whether at home or from a vending machine, Hosokawa's mixing, milling and agglomeration equipment ensures the powder doesn't form a dust cloud and dissolves easily in water or milk.

Healthcare
Various pharmaceutical products such as aspirin and paracetamol are manufactured in Europe using our Nauta® vacuum mixers and dryers and elsewhere, using our DMR mill dryers. The Hosokawa Cyclomix is widely used to manufacture inhalation powders for asthmatics.
Personal care
Many body-care products contain ingredients processed with our blending, drying, and agglomeration equipment. As for cosmetic powders, such as face powders, some ingredients are mixed and coated in our high-speed Cyclomix mixers for even dispersion of the pigments, while others are milled and micronized to perfection, using Hosokawa Alpine ball mills.
Mobility
When it comes to mobility, the brakes on your bicycle, moped or car are made from iron powder. Its exact composition is crucial for optimal quality and safety, which is achieved through high-precision mixing in our machines. Hosokawa technology is also used in producing advanced polymers for Formula 1 racing cars.
Batteries for electric cars have to meet high standards for charging time, capacity and lifespan. At the same time, they must be reliable, safe and preferably as compact as possible. Hosokawa provides high-quality equipment for use in numerous steps of the battery production process.
