Testing & Process Development
Hosokawa Micron's test and development centre in the Netherlands offers unique possibilities for testing your product to determine the most efficient process, system or plant prior to final design. We can provide laboratory as well as production-sized trials. Afterwards, we provide you with a detailed test report with the test results.
Whether you wish to test a single machine or a complete powder processing system, the same skilled and experienced staff are here to help ensure that your requirements are met, and that you are entirely satisfied with the results.
Available Test Equipment
Our test centre comprises more than 3000 m² and is fitted with 30 machines, including test equipment at your disposal for:
- Batch mixing from 1 up to 6000 litres
- Continuous mixing from 100 up to 1500 kg/h
- Batch vacuum drying from 5 up to 6000 litres
- Batch freeze drying from 1.5 up to 800 litres
- Continuous drying from 1 up to 250 kg/h (evaporation)
- Continuous agglomeration from 100 up to 1500 kg/h
Remote Attendance of Trials
Trials in our test centre can be attended either in person or remotely via a video connection: start with an online meeting to confirm the goals of the day, follow the trials and discuss the proceedings with our experts and get a close look at the end product samples. Is Testing Necessary?
If we could summarise the behaviour of powders in a set of rules and guidelines, in other words, if results could be predicted, then testing would be unnecessary. Of course the reality is somewhat different. Testing isn't only necessary; it is the foundation of any successful product or process.
